Secret Service director to speak at SBU on Constitution Day
Retired United States Marine Corps Gen. Randolph "Tex" Alles, current director of the U.S. Secret Service, will speak during the Chapel service at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 17, in Pike Auditorium at Southwest Baptist University.

Waldrep to give poetry reading on Sept. 13
The Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series of Southwest Baptist University will be presenting "poet extraordinaire" G.C. Waldrep in a reading of his work at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, in the Davis-Newport Theatre of the Jester Learning & Performance Center on the Bolivar campus.
SBU nurse training center bears Hutchins name
The Southwest Baptist University Springfield Campus held a dedication ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 30 for the naming of the nurse training center - the Wayne & Diana Hutchins Center for Nursing Education.
SBU receives gift from Windstream
Southwest Baptist University received a generous gift from Windstream on Tuesday, Aug. 28, as part of the renovation project of the Gene Taylor National Free Enterprise Center, which was completed in the summer of 2017.
