More than 90 students graduate from SBU in Bolivar
Ninety-two undergraduate students graduated from Southwest Baptist University during commencement Friday, Dec. 18, at the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the Bolivar campus. The University holds graduation twice a year, in December and May.
SBU breaks ground on project to renovate, expand Taylor Center
Southwest Baptist University broke ground Friday, Dec. 18, on the project to expand and renovate the Bolivar campus' Gene Taylor National Free Enterprise Center, which houses the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science and the department of history and political science.
Southwest Baptist University honored employees with employment anniversary milestones, beginning with five years, during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 10. The employees recognized have given a total of 710 years of service to SBU.

Diana Gallamore, director of the Center for Global Connections, and Dr. Troy Bethards, dean of the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science, received the Staff and Faculty Life Beautiful Awards during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 10 at Southwest Baptist University.
Southwest Baptist University student Madeleine Loser of Sahuarita, Ariz., was honored by SBU University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for November 2015.

Southwest Baptist University is set to graduate 236 students at two winter 2015 commencement ceremonies. The Bolivar campus will hold commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness Center.
SBU professor presents at mathematics educators conference
Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics at Southwest Baptist University, gave two presentations at the annual conference of the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) held Dec. 3-4 in Columbia, Mo. Glasgow also discussed his work as part of the HB 1490 workgroup charged with creating new Missouri Learning Standards for grades 6-12.
