SBU PBL qualifies eight students for national competition

Southwest Baptist University's Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) organization had eight students qualify for the PBL Nationals on June 23-26 in Baltimore, Md., following an impressive showing at the PBL State Leadership Competition on April 7 in Springfield.

SBU CIS team ranked second in regional programming contest

Southwest Baptist University's top competitive programming team received a second-place ranking in the Central Plains Region Programming Contest on April 7 at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.

SBU Enactus team captures 33rd regional championship

Southwest Baptist University's Enactus team captured its 33rd regional championship from its competition on April 9 in Chicago, and will move on to the national exposition, which will be held May 20-22 at the Kansas City Convention Center.

"C. Pat Legacy Day" includes 5K, Beautification Day on April 28

Southwest Baptist University's Student Association and Student Life are teaming up to host "C. Pat Legacy Day" - in honor of SBU President Dr. C. Pat Taylor and his late wife, Judy - on April 28 on the Bolivar campus.

Homeschool Health Fair to be held April 20 in Springfield

Southwest Baptist University's Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences is hosting the 11th annual Homeschool Health and Science Exploration Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the College in Springfield.

SBU's Wind Symphony, University Band to perform April 19

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music will present the Wind Symphony and the University Band in concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 19, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

Wehmeyer to perform faculty recital on euphonium

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music will present Dr. Terri Wehmeyer on euphonium, in a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, in the Jane A. Meyer Recital Hall.

SBU media students bring home MBEA awards

Southwest Baptist University students in the Multi-Media for Non-Profit Organizations class recently received four awards, including two first-place honors, in the 2018 Missouri Broadcast Educators Association Media Contest.
