Southwest Baptist University Theatre is presenting John Patrick's "The Curious Savage" at 7 p.m. Feb. 23-25 in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.
Southwest Baptist University's Harriett K. Hutchins Library will present its second annual Comic Con from noon-6 p.m., Saturday, March 4, on the Bolivar campus.
About 620 number-crunching students from Missouri and Kansas elementary and middle schools gathered at Southwest Baptist University on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 for math contests hosted by the SBU Department of Mathematics. The 18th annual competition provided a positive educational experience and encouraged the enjoyment and study of mathematics.

Southwest Baptist University art students will be presenting a scholarship show from Monday, Jan. 30 through Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus.
Southwest Baptist University welcomes students, staff and the community to spring semester Chapel and Equip services, which take place weekly at 10 a.m. on campus in Pike Auditorium through Wednesday, May 10. Chapel services, which occur on Mondays, feature corporate worship and encouragement, and Equip services, which occur on Wednesdays, focus on teaching and equipping.
Southwest Baptist University's Bolivar campus is closed Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, due to inclement weather. Classes are cancelled, and offices are closed. The area is under an Ice Storm Warning through the weekend.
