Southwest Baptist University continues the tradition of honoring one male and one female student each year at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place this year at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, in Pike Auditorium on the SBU campus.

Southwest Baptist University Theatre is presenting John Patrick's "The Curious Savage" at 7 p.m. Feb. 23-25 in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.

Southwest Baptist University's Harriett K. Hutchins Library will present its second annual Comic Con from noon-6 p.m., Saturday, March 4, on the Bolivar campus.
About 620 number-crunching students from Missouri and Kansas elementary and middle schools gathered at Southwest Baptist University on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 for math contests hosted by the SBU Department of Mathematics. The 18th annual competition provided a positive educational experience and encouraged the enjoyment and study of mathematics.
