SBU hosts kickoff event for new agriculture minor starting in 2022
Recognizing that agriculture is a major economic driver in Missouri and particularly in southwest Missouri, Southwest Baptist University is adding a minor in agriculture, with classes starting in 2022. A kickoff event to introduce the new minor was held Thursday evening, July 29, on the Bolivar campus.

SBU selects Hill-Stanford as dean of Casebolt College of Arts and Sciences
Dr. Holly Hill-Stanford, professor of English, is the new dean of the Geneva Casebolt College of Arts and Sciences at Southwest Baptist University.

SBU, OTC articulation agreement focuses on business degrees
Southwest Baptist University and Ozarks Technical Community College finalized an articulation agreement on June 3 providing OTC graduates who earn an Associate of Arts in Business degree the opportunity to pursue any of SBU's business-related bachelor of science degrees.

OTC, SBU sign articulation agreement for A.A. in Teaching transfer opportunities
Ozarks Technical Community College and Southwest Baptist University recently signed an articulation agreement to provide OTC graduates who earn an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree a smooth transition into SBU's bachelor of science in elementary education program.

SBU CIS seniors present projects for 2020-21
Southwest Baptist University's Division of Computing and Mathematics recently had 31 computing seniors work on and present nine projects sponsored by several leading companies and organizations, including the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank.
Winners announced for SBU's 2021 writing contest
Southwest Baptist University's Bob R. Derryberry Division of Language and Communication recently announced the winners of the 2021 Writing Contest. The winning entries receive awards and small cash prizes, with the top entries appearing in "Scop," the online literary journal of the Department of Language and Literature.
