SBU commissions students for Spring Break mission projects
During Center for Global Connections Week at Southwest Baptist University, students were challenged to be faithful to who God called them to be. Students learned about upcoming mission project opportunities and held a commissioning prayer service for students who are serving during spring break, March 19-27.

SBU Chorale in concert March 31
The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will present its Spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 31, in the Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Southwest Baptist University's College of Health Professions is excited to announce a 100-percent pass rate by the Bolivar campus' first Pre-Licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PLBSN) cohort on the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX).

SBU's Wind Symphony to present concert on March 15
The Southwest Baptist University Division of Arts and Humanities will present the Wind Symphony in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 15 in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
Wootton and friends to perform faculty trumpet recital at SBU on March 17
The Southwest Baptist University Division of Arts and Humanities will present Tim Wootton in a faculty trumpet recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Wallgren, Glasgow crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest
Zack Wallgren, a computer science and mathematics major from Wentzville, and Hanna Glasgow, an elementary education major from Grove, Okla., won the titles of Mr. and Miss Southwest at the annual pageant on Friday, March 4, at Southwest Baptist University.
SBU celebrates inauguration of 26th President - Dr. Richard J. Melson
Southwest Baptist University celebrated the inauguration of Richard J. Melson, Ph.D., as its 26th president in a ceremony Wednesday, March 2, in Mabee Chapel on the Bolivar campus. The inauguration formally commemorates the beginning of Dr. Melson's leadership at SBU, while celebrating the University's rich history and reaffirming the University's mission of being a Christ-centered, caring academic community preparing students to be servant leaders in a global society.

SBU Theatre to present "The Pirates of Penzance" on March 10-13
Southwest Baptist University Theatre will present "The Pirates of Penzance" - its third production of the 2021-22 season - at 7 p.m., March 10-12 and at 2 p.m., March 13 in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.
