SBU awards Life Beautiful Awards to Gallamore, Bethards
Diana Gallamore, director of the Center for Global Connections, and Dr. Troy Bethards, dean of the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science, received the Staff and Faculty Life Beautiful Awards during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 10 at Southwest Baptist University.
Southwest Baptist University student Madeleine Loser of Sahuarita, Ariz., was honored by SBU University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for November 2015.
More than 200 students to graduate at SBU winter commencement ceremonies
Southwest Baptist University is set to graduate 236 students at two winter 2015 commencement ceremonies. The Bolivar campus will hold commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness Center.
SBU professor presents at mathematics educators conference
Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics at Southwest Baptist University, gave two presentations at the annual conference of the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) held Dec. 3-4 in Columbia, Mo. Glasgow also discussed his work as part of the HB 1490 workgroup charged with creating new Missouri Learning Standards for grades 6-12.
SBU students selected to Missouri All-Collegiate Honor Band
Five Southwest Baptist University students were chosen through a highly selective process for membership in the 2016 Missouri All-Collegiate Honor Band. The band will perform for the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference Jan. 29, 2016, at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Mo.

Southwest Baptist University's Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) professor Dr. Jeffrey Kimball is the newest CIS faculty member to earn a Ph.D. Dr. Kimball successfully defended his dissertation research project Nov. 24 at the College of Engineering and Computing at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Southwest Baptist University student Spencer Smith, a senior mathematics and computer science double major from Springfield, Mo., presented a talk at the Eleventh MAKO Undergraduate Math Research Conference held Saturday, Nov. 14, at Missouri State University.
