Canfield, Manuel named SBU Homecoming King and Queen
Aaron Canfield and Laura Manuel were announced as the 2019 Southwest Baptist University Homecoming King and Queen at halftime of the Bearcats' football game against Quincy University on Oct. 19.

SBU recognizes alumni with Life Service Awards during Honors Chapel
Five Southwest Baptist University alumni were honored with special awards in recognition of living lives of service at Honors Chapel on Friday, Oct. 18. The event marks the beginning of Homecoming festivities and also featured the presentation of the 2019 Homecoming court.

SBU selects Kimbrough as theology professor
Matt Kimbrough, Ph.D., will join the faculty at Southwest Baptist University in January 2020. He will be an Assistant Professor of Theology in The Courts Redford College of Theology and Ministry.
SBU to present alumni awards during Homecoming Honors Chapel
Homecoming festivities at Southwest Baptist University will begin with Honors Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Pike Auditorium, when five alumni will be recognized for living lives of service.

Ruggiero-Mezzadri concert opens SBU Community Concert Series on Oct. 17
The SBU Community Concert Series opens its second season with a concert presented by Susan Ruggiero-Mezzadri at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17 in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus of Southwest Baptist University.

SBU Student Association partners with Operation Christmas Child
Southwest Baptist University's Student Association and University Ministries are working together to collect shoeboxes campus-wide for Operation Christmas Child, which is a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization.

SBU Homecoming activities set for Oct. 18-19
Southwest Baptist University alumni and friends will celebrate Homecoming on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 on the Bolivar campus.
SBU Homecoming little sisters, little brothers selected
Southwest Baptist University has selected the "little sisters" and "little brothers" for Homecoming 2019. Each child will escort a king and queen or prince and princess candidate during the Homecoming parade at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19. The "little sisters" and "little brothers" are grandchildren or children of SBU employees.
