SBU's Wind Symphony, University Band in concert Nov. 21

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music will present the Wind Symphony and University Band in concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

Speaking Bearcats victorious in October tournaments

The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats opened their 2019-2020 traveling season with a pair of overall sweepstakes victories in the Missouri Mule/Dale Carnegie swing tournament on Oct. 18 and 20, and the Cowtown Classic on Oct. 25-26.

SBU recognizes Bailey as Miller Accounting Chair

Sharla Bailey was installed as an academic chair during Southwest Baptist University's academic chair installation ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Rohrs Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

SBU to welcome high school honor band students Nov. 16

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music will host more than 100 top high school band students to perform at the 3rd Annual SBU Band Day on Saturday, Nov. 16 on the Bolivar campus.

SBU hosts math contests for area elementary, middle schools

About 370 students from 41 southwest Missouri elementary and middle schools gathered at Southwest Baptist University on Oct. 26 for math contests hosted by the SBU Department of Mathematics.

Raymond earns Certified Protection Officer designation

Southwest Baptist University Assistant Director of Safety and Security Emily Raymond recently passed the exam to obtain the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) designation through the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO).

SBU Theatre to present "Tartuffe" on Nov. 7-9, Nov. 14-16

Southwest Baptist University Theatre will present the French comedy, "Tartuffe," on Nov. 7-9 and Nov. 14-16 at 7 p.m. in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.
