Gaining a New Perspective

After having its mission project canceled for 2020 and then for 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Southwest Baptist University's Center for Global Connections (CGC) team to Colombia headed for the border.

SBU diversifies degree offerings with new Global Education majors

Southwest Baptist University continues to expand degree offerings with an international focus with two new Global Education degrees, available in Elementary Education or Middle School Education. The degrees were developed as part of the new SBU Global initiative.

SBU's Wind Symphony and University Band in concert on April 22

The Southwest Baptist University Division of Arts and Humanities will present the Wind Symphony and University Band in concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 22, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

SBU recognizes Dill, Chaney scholarship recipients

Three Southwest Baptist University students recently were named the recipients of two of the University's prestigious awards - the Stanley H. Dill Distinguished Scholar Award and the Chaney Scholar Awards - which are among SBU's largest endowed scholarships.

Quackenbos to join SBU's Christian Ministry faculty

Dr. David Quackenbos will be joining the faculty of the Courts Redford Division of Christian Ministry as an assistant professor of Christian ministry for the Fall 2021 semester.

SBU Theatre presents "Godspell" on April 15-18

Southwest Baptist University Theatre will present "Godspell" at 7 p.m., April 15-17, and at 2 p.m., April 18, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus. This marks the fourth and final production of SBU Theatre's 2020-2021 season titled "Perseverance."
