SBU to host high school League of Legends tournament

As a part of Southwest Baptist University's Esports Expo, high school students have the opportunity to compete in a League of Legends single-elimination tournament, beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 29, on the Bolivar campus.

SBU CIS advisory board, career fair open doors for students

Southwest Baptist University's 2017 Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) Department Advisory Board met early in the spring semester in the newly renovated Taylor Free Enterprise Center on the Bolivar campus, in conjunction with the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science Spring Career Fair.

Homeschool Health Fair returns to Springfield on April 28

Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences of Southwest Baptist University is hosting the annual Homeschool Health and Science Exploration Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the College in Springfield.

SBU Theatre, Art collaborate on student-devised piece April 20-22

The Southwest Baptist University's departments of theatre and art will present a student-devised piece "Inter(actions): Stories of Love and Loss" at 7 p.m., April 20-22, in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.

SBU PBL qualifies nine students for national competition

Southwest Baptist University's Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) organization had nine students qualify for the PBL Nationals on June 24-27 in Anaheim, Calif., following an impressive showing at the PBL State Leadership Competition on April 1 in Springfield.

Free concert to be presented by SBU's Chamber Orchestra

The Southwest Baptist University Chamber Orchestra will be in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, in the Meyer Recital Hall in the Casebolt Music Center on the Bolivar campus.

SBU Opera Workshop to perform "The Merry Wives of Windsor"

Southwest Baptist University's Opera Workshop will present an operatic version of William Shakespeare's "The Merry Wives of Windsor" at 7:30 p.m., April 21-22, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

SBU CIS team wins Mid-South Region Programming Contest

Southwest Baptist University's top competitive programming team took an early lead and didn't look back in capturing the Consortium for Computing Sciences Mid-South Region Programming Contest on March 31 at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark.
