SBU to begin BSN degree on Bolivar campus
Southwest Baptist University is working toward offering a nursing degree on the University's main campus in Bolivar, and Citizens Memorial Hospital/Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation has made a lead gift of $600,000 toward funding startup costs for the program.
SBU announces Fall 2017 Chapel schedule
Southwest Baptist University welcomes students, staff and the community to fall semester Chapel services, which take place weekly at 10 a.m. on campus in Pike Auditorium beginning Monday, Aug. 21 through Wednesday, Dec. 6. The focus for the coming school year is "Reforming... Faith, Life and Thought."

Southwest Baptist University will hold its Formal Convocation at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

The recipient for the Integrity Tax & Accounting Excellence in Accounting scholarship, which benefits top Southwest Baptist University accounting students, has been selected by the accounting department faculty.

SBU PBL takes eight top-10 awards at nationals
Southwest Baptist University's Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) organization had nine students compete at the PBL National Leadership Conference on June 24-27 in Anaheim, Calif., and brought home eight top-10 finishes.
SBU professors participate in AP program reading
Five professors from Southwest Baptist University were selected to participate in the 2017 College Board Annual AP Reading in June at the Kansas City Convention Center. Dr. Stephen Bowling, Meilani Conley, Dr. Tim DeClue, Dr. Baochuan Lu and Dr. Shelley Kilpatrick represented SBU and served as Advanced Placement readers at one of the four national reading sites.
