Levi Bridge to lead SBU MBA program

Levi Bridge, instructor of business administration at Southwest Baptist University, was selected as director of the SBU Master of Business Administration program, effective June 1, 2016.

SBU University Band joined by Bolivar Middle School 7th, 8th grade band in concert

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music presents the University Band in concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, in Pike Auditorium on the SBU campus. The ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Brian K. Hopwood, will be joined by the Bolivar Middle School 7th and 8th grade band, conducted by Steve McClard and John Trew.

SBU Theatre to debut "Servant of Two Masters" play

The Southwest Baptist University Theatre program concludes its 2015-2016 season with "The Servant of Two Masters," written in the 1700s by Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni and translated and adapted by Jeffery Hatcher and Paolo Emilio Landi. The show will be presented at 7 p.m. April 21-23 in Davis-Newport Theater on the SBU campus.

Condren given Outstanding Service Award

Dr. Tammy Condren, assistant professor of graduate education and doctorate of education in educational leadership coordinator at SBU, received the Outstanding Service Award from the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) at its state conference held March 14 in Osage Beach, Mo.

SBU places first at computer programming competition

Southwest Baptist University's top competitive programming team came out on top at the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges (CCSC) Central Plains Region Programming Contest on Saturday, April 2, at Missouri Western State University.

SBU to host Chamber Orchestra concert

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music presents a Chamber Orchestra concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 in the Meyer Recital Hall in the Casebolt Music Center on the SBU campus.

Skinkle named new provost at SBU

Southwest Baptist University has selected Lee Skinkle, Ph.D., as its next provost, effective June 1. As provost, Skinkle will be the university's chief academic officer, providing visionary leadership and direction for all academic areas.
