The Southwest Baptist University Theatre program presents the world premier of "For Such a Time as This" - a play written by SBU senior Bethany Vermillion - at 7 p.m. April 25-27 in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.

Liberty Utilities donates to renovation project at SBU
Liberty Utilities - Empire District recently delivered a $15,000 check to Southwest Baptist University that is part of $30,000 pledge toward the $175,000 renovation of the Lloyd & Frances Randolph Meditation Chapel.

SBU hosts more than 200 students at MCTM regional math contest
About 260 students from southwest Missouri elementary and intermediate schools gathered at Southwest Baptist University on April 8 for the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) Southwest Regional Competition hosted by the SBU Department of Mathematics.

Speaking Bearcats finish fourth at national tournament
Southwest Baptist University's Speaking Bearcats finished fourth at the Pi Kappa Delta National Tournament and Convention held March 20-24, 2019, at Hofstra University, in Hempstead, N.Y.
