Southwest Baptist University is distributing more than $1 million in coronavirus emergency relief funds to its students to help offset cost of attendance or emergency costs incurred due to coronavirus during the 2021 spring semester.

SBU to present Masterworks concert on April 30
The music area of Southwest Baptist University will present its annual Masterworks concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 30, on John Q. Hammons Court in the Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the Bolivar campus.
SBU establishes community concert series and scholarship endowments with estate proceeds
Southwest Baptist University is establishing a concert series endowment and music scholarship endowment with the proceeds of an estate gift from the Blanche Wallen Trust. The University's Board of Trustees voted to establish the endowments during its regular meeting April 20.

SBU Showcase Singers present "Don't Touch That Radio Dial!!" on April 28
The Showcase Singers of Southwest Baptist University will present an online-only performance of "Don't Touch That Radio Dial!!" - a look back at the golden age of radio entertainment - at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28.

Gaining a New Perspective
After having its mission project canceled for 2020 and then for 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Southwest Baptist University's Center for Global Connections (CGC) team to Colombia headed for the border.
SBU diversifies degree offerings with new Global Education majors
Southwest Baptist University continues to expand degree offerings with an international focus with two new Global Education degrees, available in Elementary Education or Middle School Education. The degrees were developed as part of the new SBU Global initiative.
