BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Southwest Baptist University’s departments of theatre and art will present
a student-devised piece “Inter(actions): Stories of Love and Loss” at 7 p.m., April
20-22, in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.
This family friendly show explores the moments of love and loss that define our lives from the time we are born until we die. It examines how, in creating our stories, we simultaneously become part of the stories created in others’ lives. “Inter(actions)” depicts various relationships from first crushes, to marriage, to friendship, to parents and children.
The show features a dynamic, original sculpture created by students in the SBU art department, bringing together two art forms in one collaborative effort. This show is written, directed and designed by students, and is the first devised piece from SBU Theatre.
General admission tickets are $8, student tickets are $3, and faculty and staff each receive one free ticket. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (417) 328-1691 or in person at the SBU box office from 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Jester Learning and Performance Center.
For more information, contact the theatre box office at (417) 328-1691.
