The Southwest Baptist University Chamber Orchestra will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the Meyer Recital Hall of Casebolt Music Center on the Bolivar campus.
The concert, which is open to the public, will feature a varied program of Baroque, Classical, Twentieth-Century and traditional works. Pieces will include Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Strings in D Minor,” a “Dance Suite” by Mozart, Percy Grainer’s “Mock Morris” and themes from the TV series “Downton Abbey.”
The SBU Chamber Orchestra, directed by Andy Johnston, will include SBU faculty Carol Harrison, music adjunct and Curtis Goss, associate professor of Spanish, and guest performer Elizabeth Johnston on violin.
