SBU announces Dill, Chaney scholarship recipients
Three Southwest Baptist University students recently were named the recipients of two of the University's prestigious awards - the Stanley H. Dill Distinguished Scholar Award and the Chaney Scholar Awards - which are among SBU's largest endowed scholarships.

Southwest Baptist University students have been recognized for their contributions to their academic departments and colleges during the 2019-2020 academic year.
Depeé retiring from SBU-Mountain View, Miller is new campus director
Shae Miller will be the new campus director for Southwest Baptist University's Mountain View campus after Campus Director Donna Depeé's retirement in May.

SBU to hold online commencement ceremonies May 16
Nearly 530 students will graduate from Southwest Baptist University's four campuses during three online commencement ceremonies to be held Saturday, May 16. SBU will broadcast its Spring ceremonies online at 10 a.m. to honor the 103 associate, 217 bachelor and 210 graduate degree recipients.
SBU plans on-campus classes for Fall 2020 semester
Southwest Baptist University plans to open all campuses for the Fall 2020 semester. SBU's Executive Cabinet is leading the planning process. Workgroups will explore various components given different scenarios the University may face and will take into account guidance from state and local officials.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we go about our day-to-day lives. It has claimed thousands of lives and sickened many more. During these vulnerable and uncertain times, Southwest Baptist University alumni are stepping in and stepping up where they are to be the servant leaders they are called to be.
