SBU trustees add members to Presidential Search Committee
Southwest Baptist University's Board of Trustees voted this week to add four members from within the University to the Presidential Search Committee.

SBU students awarded academic honors for 2020-2021
Southwest Baptist University students have been recognized for their contributions to their academic areas and divisions during the 2020-2021 academic year.
Enhancing the heart of campus
Aaron Hayes saw a need on campus and wanted to find a solution. He noticed there were more people on Southwest Baptist University's Bolivar campus eating their meals outside or just choosing to be outside this spring in part to more restrictions inside related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SBU to host master class for violin, viola students April 15
Southwest Baptist University's Division of Arts and Humanities welcomes David Hays, violin professor at Missouri State University, who will conduct a master class for SBU violin and viola students of Carol Harrison from 5-7 p.m., on Thursday, April 15 in the Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Speaking Bearcats in Top 10 at Nationals
The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats placed 10th in individual events sweepstakes, 11th overall in debate and speech sweepstakes and had two competitors earn All-American honors at the 2021 Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament on March 18-21.
SBU to host guest artists in recital, lecture on March 28
Southwest Baptist University's Division of Arts and Humanities welcomes guest artists Dr. Mary J. Trotter (piano) and Mikalia Bradberry (mezzo-soprano), along with Dr. Sarah Howes, soprano and SBU assistant professor of music, in a recital, lecture and post-recital discussion at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 28 in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

SBU's Board of Trustees selects search firm for presidential search
Executive search firm CarterBaldwin will assist the Southwest Baptist University Board of Trustees with the search and selection process for the University's 26th President.

SBU sends out mission project teams
After having to cancel mission project trips last spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Southwest Baptist University's Center for Global Connections (CGC) commissioned four teams during Global Connections Week to serve over Spring Break 2021.
