BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will present its Fall concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
Under the direction of Dr. James R. Tarrant, director of choral studies and professor of music, the Chorale will present a varied program of a cappella music spanning four centuries. Composers include Ēriks Ešenvalds, Pärt Uusberg, William Dawson and others. The Chorale will perform in at least seven different languages.
The Chorale is the premiere choral ensemble of the university and has performed extensively across the state, the country and the world. The Chorale has been invited to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association state meeting – one of three university mixed choirs so honored – in January 2019 in Osage Beach.
While the concert is free and open to the public, the Chorale is accepting donations as part of fundraising efforts for their May 2020 “Vienna to Venice” performance tour.
