The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music presents a Chamber Orchestra concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 in the Meyer Recital Hall in the Casebolt Music Center on the SBU campus.
The Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Andy Johnston, will include a variety of Baroque, classical, twentieth-century and traditional works such as a suite by French Baroque composer Marc Antoine Charpentier and a transcription for strings of Bela Bartok’s “Allegro Barbaro.” Other selections include works by Mozart and Handel, as well as a few portions from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
The SBU Chamber Orchestra will include SBU faculty associate Carol Harrison on violin and guest performers Curtis Goss, assistant professor of language and literature, Josie Adenuga, Elizabeth Johnston, and Celka Ojakangas.
