BOLIVAR, Mo. – Southwest Baptist University’s Student Association and Student Life are teaming up to host “C. Pat Legacy Day” – in honor of SBU President Dr. C. Pat Taylor and his late wife, Judy – on April 28 on the Bolivar campus.
The Student Association is revamping the annual C. Pat 5k Run, which will be paired with Student Life’s Beautification Day, to honor Judy Taylor.
“We are very excited to honor Dr. Taylor and his late wife, Judy, by hosting the annual C. Pat 5k and by allowing students to participate in service projects on campus,” said Jessica Tankersley, Student Association president. “The community, alumni and current students are all invited to honor Dr. Taylor for his 22 years of service, participate in the Beautification Day and listen to live music.”
The run will begin at 8 a.m. at the Meyer Wellness Center, with registration starting at 7 a.m. Participants can pre-register at http://forms.sbuniv.edu/cpatrun.asp for $15 and receive their T-shirt on race day. Registration after noon on April 19 will be $20. Shirts can be picked up at the Student Association office at a later date.
Beautification Day will begin around 9:30 a.m. and will include refreshments and live
music, while participants complete service projects to enhance our campus. There is
no cost to participate in the Beautification Day, and T-shirts will be available (without
running) for $15.
