Glasgow presents at math conferences
Southwest Baptist University's Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics, recently presented at two math conferences - the annual Sonia Kovalevsky Day and the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) Fall Conference.

More than 150 students to graduate at SBU winter commencement ceremonies
Southwest Baptist University is set to graduate 151 students at two winter 2019 commencement ceremonies. The bachelor degree ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and the ceremony for all associate degree graduates is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. Both ceremonies will be held in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center.

SBU mission teams commissioned at Dec. 4 Chapel service
Southwest Baptist University's Center for Global Connections formally commissioned 14 mission teams, as well as an Intercultural Studies major, during Chapel service on Wednesday, Dec. 4, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

Over the past year, your alma mater has been embroiled in a denominational controversy that has made national headlines. Challenges to the University's commitment to kingdom work and theological integrity have been the primary focus. Nevertheless, I view these challenges as opportunities to clarify who we are and always have been as a university.
