The 3rd Annual SBUnited Giving Day Arrives March 12, 2026

SBUnited Giving Day is one of the most powerful ways alumni and friends can support the mission of Southwest Baptist University. Gifts of any size, to any designation, help us achieve, build, renovate, and create affordable access to every corner of campus. Your giving restrains expenses for students, shapes the classroom experience, enriches life in the residence halls, fuels activities across the Quad, and supports the countless behind the scenes operations that make the SBU experience exceptional. When you give on SBUnited Giving Day, you are investing directly in the life of every SBU student.

A vital focus of SBUnited Giving Day every year is our unrestricted Annual Scholarship Fund. Each year, this single fund is critical every year to funding student access to an SBU education. Every dollar given directly supports students by removing financial barriers, elevating academic excellence, and sustaining the Christ-centered environment that sets SBU apart.

Your generosity helps us:

  • Keep exceptional faculty in the classroom—educators who challenge, mentor, and inspire.
  • Maintain and improve learning facilities that prepare students for future careers.
  • Provide excellent dining, housing, and student life services that support student wellbeing.
  • Enrich the full university experience—from campus ministries and academic support to cocurricular programs that shape character and leadership.

Over the years, we have seen growth in participation on SBUnited Giving Day, expanding our ability to serve students. Here’s what this partnership has helped accomplish in just two years:

  • 2024: Goal $40,000 — Received $78,737
  • 2025: Goal $150,000 — Received $170,805

This year’s goal is our most ambitious yet:

March 12, 2026 SBUnited Giving Day Goal: $200,000

Reaching this goal will strengthen scholarships, enhance programs, and ensure that SBU continues equipping students to be servant leaders in a world that deeply needs them.

How You Can Make a Difference

  1. Give an Early Lead Gift
Lead gifts of $1,000 or more give the day an early boost to the day’s momentum and inspire fellow Bearcats to join the effort. And thanks to the generosity of some alumni, early gifts are also being matched dollar-for-dollar to double the impact of these gifts.
  2. Give on Giving Day
    On March 12
there will be some opportunities for your gift to be matched by some generous alumni. This effectively doubles your investment in the lives of SBU students. Whether your gift is large or small, it will go twice as far in supporting affordability and access to SBU’s sacred mission.

When we come together, remarkable things happen. Your participation—at any level—affirms your belief in the need for the explicit, unapologetic Christ-centered higher education experience of SBU, your love for SBU, and your desire to see future Bearcats flourish.
