The 2025 Homecoming Court Candidates were voted on during Spirit Chapel on Wednesday, October 8th. The candidates will ride in the Homecoming parade on Saturday, October 11th at 10:00 AM; following the parade, all are welcome to join students and alumni at the Homecoming football game against McKendree University at Plaster Stadium at 1:00 PM. Cheer on the SBU Bearcats and watch the coronation of this year's Homecoming King and Queen during half time!

Get to know this year's Homecoming Court Candidates: 

Homecoming King Candidates:

  • Jeremiah Horn is a Media Studies major from Dallas, Texas. He plans to pursue his Master's degree while continuing to play football after graduating.
  • Jacob Gaskins is a Nursing major from Lathrop, Missouri. He plans to work at Children's Mercy in Kansas City, Missouri in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit after graduating. 
  • Alex Crawford is an Exercise Science major with a Pre-PT concentration from Willard, Missouri. He will be joining SBU's Doctor of Physical Therapy program after graduating; he also plans to start a family with his best friend and wife Olivia Crawford. 
  • Ryan Nateghi is a Digital Marketing major from Houston, Texas. He hopes to work for Boeing or NASA after graduating, but plans to "go with the flow for now."
  • Benjamin Hines is a Political Science major from Bolivar, Missouri. He plans to attend law school after graduating and hopes to run for Governor of Missouri someday.
    • His Great Grandfather, John Mays Cox, is an alumni who attended Southwest Baptist College from 1919-1922.

Homecoming Queen Candidates:

  • Alaina McCray is an Exercise Science major with a Rehabilitative Science concentration from Mokane, Missouri. She plans to join SBU's Doctor of Physical Therapy program after graduating with her Bachelor's degree.
  • Emma Peugh is a Social Work major from West Plains, MO. She plans to marry her fiancĂ©, Minh Dinh, and pursue her Master's in Social Work. In her own words, "I hope to begin a career as a foster care case manager, where I can dedicate my work to supporting children in foster care and making sure they feel truly loved and cared for."
    • Her father, Greg Peugh, is an alumni from SBU's Physical Therapy program (Class of 1999). 
  • Olivia Crawford is a Business Management major from Springfield, Illinois. She plans to continue working towards her MBA and start a family with her husband, Alex Crawford, after graduating. 
  • Emily Sokolik is an Accounting and Biblical Studies double major from Bolivar, Missouri. She is open to whatever the Lord calls her to do after graduating.
  • Hailey Coleman is an Art Education and Graphic Design double major from Clinton, MO. She plans to become an art teacher and supporter of the district's band to help young artists and musicians. Her ultimate goal is to spread "...hope, love, and creativity for the glory of God through all that I do."

Junior Prince and Princess:  

  • Colby Miller is a Biblical Studies major with a Psychology minor from Dewey, Oklahoma. 
  • Molly Scott is a Biblical Studies major from Wellsville, Missouri.

Sophomore Prince and Princess:

  • Stephen Hutson is a Computer Science major from Liberty, Missouri.
  • Kylene Williams is a Social Work major from Monett, Missouri.

Freshman Prince and Princess:

  • Creed Carlson is a Digital Marketing major from Kansas City, Missouri. 
  • Joy Partin is an Elementary Education major from Overland Park, Kansas.
