BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Southwest Baptist University Jazz Ensemble will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
Under the direction of Dr. Jeffery Waters, head of the Division of Arts and Humanities and professor of music at SBU, the Jazz Ensemble will feature SBU student performers in a program which includes a variety of musical styles associated with the big-band jazz ensemble.
The performance, which is free and open to the public, is a part of the regular season of concerts and recitals presented by SBU’s Division of Arts and Humanities. The concert also will be available via livestream at: SBUniv.info/jazzspring22.
The 17-piece Jazz Ensemble is the premiere ensemble on campus dedicated to the exclusive study of jazz music.
