Caddy, Gray named CGC Nations Award recipients

Southwest Baptist University's Center for Global Connections honored an SBU employee and an SBU alumnus with its annual Nations Award during the Global Connections Week Chapel service on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Bearcat family - We are three weeks into the Fall 2020 semester, and you've done well in regard to extra safety measures related to COVID-19 -- but we still have much room for improvement. We still have nearly 11 weeks to go, and we all must continue working together to make on-campus classes successful.

SBU extends test-optional application to Spring, Fall 2021 semesters

Southwest Baptist University is extending its test-optional application for undergraduate admission for all campuses -- Bolivar, Mountain View, Salem and Springfield -- to the Spring 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters.

Polk County House of Hope purchases buildings from SBU to expand services

Polk County House of Hope (PCHOH) is planning to expand its services to Polk County and surrounding counties with the purchase of two buildings from Southwest Baptist University. The University's Board of Trustees and the Missouri Baptist Convention recently approved the sale of Ingman Hall and Maupin Hall on the Bolivar Campus to PCHOH.

President Turner encourages making wise decisions

You want to be on campus and have in-person classes. We want you to be on campus and instruct you through in-person classes. In order to do this, we all must make wise decisions. As we head into the weekend, you will have some decisions to make concerning travel or off-campus activities.

SBU celebrates 143rd school year at formal convocation

Two faculty members and a staff member were honored during Southwest Baptist University's annual convocation Wednesday, Aug. 19 - the opening of the 143rd session of the University. This year's event was held in front of a small gathering of students due to occupancy limits because of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

New faculty join SBU for 2020-2021 academic year

Southwest Baptist University is pleased to announce several new faculty members for the 2020-2021 academic year. SBU's faculty is integral in the University's mission to be a Christ-centered, caring academic community preparing students to be servant leaders in a global society.
