Meilani Conley, instructor of computer and information science at Southwest Baptist University, was named the 2016 Missouri Adviser of the Year by Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda during the Missouri State Leadership Conference. Conley has served as the SBU FBLA-PBL adviser for three years and will be leading 15 SBU students to national competition this summer.
“I am honored and thankful to be selected for this award and for the opportunity to represent Southwest Baptist University and Missouri at nationals,” Conley said.
As the Missouri Adviser of the Year, Conley will be one of the nominees for this year’s National Outstanding Local Chapter Adviser award. The winner will be announced during the awards ceremony at the national competition, which will be held in Atlanta, Ga., June 24-27.
