Southwest Baptist University is committed to improving affordability for Christian higher education. This is why we are offering new students, whose families are members of Missouri Baptist Convention churches, a minimum 50% tuition discount.
This is our way of saying "thank you" to Missouri Baptists for supporting SBU and making a Christian education possible for more families. To be eligible for the Missouri Baptist Grant (equal to 50% of the university's tuition price, some restrictions apply*), students must attend SBU's Bolivar campus and be a member of an MBC congregation.

*The Missouri Baptist Grant cannot be combined with other institutional aid from SBU, including academic merit scholarships, athletic scholarships, performance scholarships, church-matching, and others. If a student qualifies for a combination of other SBU aid that exceeds the Partner Grant amount, the Partner Grant will be replaced by that combined SBU aid package. The 50% tuition discount is based off the tuition rate during the student's first semester. Families must present a letter from their senior pastor confirming that they are members of an MBC church. The 50% discount does not apply to graduate programs or to degrees at any of SBU's other campuses (Springfield, Salem, Mountain View, or Worldwide).
