Delta Mu Delta Honor Society Inducts 8 New Members

Delta Mu Delta 2023Southwest Baptist University’s Zeta Kappa chapter of the Delta Mu Delta international honor society in business inducted 8 new members on April 11 during a banquet ceremony at McClelland Dining Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Delta Mu Delta is an international honor society established to recognize and reward superior scholastic achievement of students in business administration. The society was founded by a dean from Harvard University and four professors from Yale University and New York University in November 1913. Membership is by invitation only and is based upon the student’s grade point average (minimum of 3.25), class rank (upper 20 percent) and individual character.

The 2022-23 Zeta Kappa student officers are Dorian Woodson, president, and Grace Percival, secretary/treasurer. Dr. Angela Brown-Peterson, associate professor of business, is a member and serves as faculty adviser.

The new inductees of the Zeta Kappa chapter of the Delta Mu Delta honor society are:

  • Jodie Dean – junior general business major from Salem, Mo.
  • Parker Love – junior economics/finance major from Warsaw, Mo.
  • Heather Mote – senior commercial art and marketing major from Iberia, Mo.
  • Jayden Osborn – senior public relations major from Harrisonville, Mo.
  • Elsa Pascual – junior international business major from Canet-en-Roussillon, France
  • Natalie Shouse – MBA student from Claremont, Ill.
  • Emily Sokolik – junior accounting major from Bolivar, Mo.
  • Reagan Thomure - junior accounting major from Sullivan, Mo.
