Southwest Baptist University’s Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda
organization will have 15 students participating in the PBL National Leadership Conference
in Atlanta, Ga., June 24-27. These students qualified for nationals based on their
performances at the state-level competition.
“I am overjoyed to see our students show their academic success at the 2016 State
Leadership Conference,” said Meilani Conley, faculty adviser for SBU FBLA-PBL and
instructor of computer and information science. “Our students have been working hard
to qualify for nationals and their efforts have paid off. I am honored to lead such
a talented group of students and I look forward to seeing them represent SBU on the
national stage in Atlanta.”
The following students will represent SBU at this year’s national competition:
- Brenna Andersen, a sophomore from Walnut Grove, Mo., will compete in Information Management
and Project Management.
- Rebecca Brandon, a junior from Alton, Mo., will compete in Financial Concepts and
Personal Finance.
- Jordan Brown, a sophomore from Hermitage, Mo., will compete in Cyber Security and
Information Management.
- Chase Bussey, a junior from Sedalia, Mo., will compete in Information Management and
Statistical Analysis
- Judson Horton, a junior from Bryan, Texas, will compete in Computer Concepts and Information
Management.
- Regan Katz, a junior from Hampton, Iowa, will compete in Computer Concepts and Management
Concepts.
- Austin Masters, a freshman from Strafford, Mo., will compete in Business Ethics (team
event) and Cyber Security.
- Kelli McNabb, a junior from Clever, Mo., will compete in Computer Concepts.
- Stephan Munsell, a junior from Belton, Mo., will compete in Business Ethics (team
event) and Networking Concepts.
- Joseph Reyes, a junior from Pottersville, Mo., will compete in Project Management
and Statistical Analysis.
- Jalen Supancic, a junior from Lynchburg, Mo., will compete in Sports Management &
Marketing.
- David Thomas, a junior from Monett, Mo., will compete in Cyber Security and Computer
Concepts.
- Emily Woods, a junior from Osceola, Mo., will compete in Business Ethics (team event).
- Josh Yount, a freshman from Bolivar, Mo., will compete in Administrative Computing
and Business Communication.
- Lajos Zadravecz, a junior from Waynesville, Mo., will compete in Networking Concepts.
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit education association
