Throughout the year, the Blair Center will host several seminars to address topics
of interest to support pastoral thriving. Seminars will be an hour long. Some will
be round-table style, while others will present topics in a Q&A format.

Speak Life Podcast
The "Speak Life" podcast will publish Mondays at 1 p.m. and address topics about
resilience and burnout prevention, as well as discussions on healthy marriage and
families for pastors.

Weekly Blog
The Blair Center's blog will post on Thursdays at noon. The blog will review research
relevant to pastoral burnout, and will provide training on staying resilient and growing
emotional intelligence and skills for working with people.

Pastors & Wives Marriage Retreat
The 2023 Pastors & Wives Marriage retreat will take place from April 13-15 at Stone
Castle Hotel and Conference Center in Branson. This year's retreat will be led by
Bill and Julie DuVall, who will speak from their 26 years of marriage and serving
together in various ministry capacities.

Pastoral Staff Retreats
The Blair Center is available to provide curriculum and leadership for staff retreats
for multi-staff churches aimed at helping them overcome ministry obstacles and move
to the next level of church leadership. These retreats may be requested as needed.

Meet the Center Director
Dr. Bill DuVall serves as Executive Director of the Blair Center for Training and
Pastoral Health and also is on faculty in the SBU Division of Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. DuVall has experience as a professional counselor, associate pastor and worship
leader. His various ministry positions combined with his education and experience
have prepared him for this unique opportunity to lead the Blair Center. He is passionate
about ministering to pastoral staff and helping them continue in fulfilling their
callings.
