Southwest Baptist University-Mountain View students have been awarded scholarships for the 2016-17 academic year from the Arch W. Shaw Foundation, the Bolerjack Scholarship and Oak Grove Baptist Church.
SBU's Meet the Author Series event happens Oct. 27
Southwest Baptist University Libraries is hosting its annual Meet the Author Series event at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Harriett K. Hutchens Library, located in the Jester Learning and Performance Center on the Bolivar campus.
SBU dedicates Judy Taylor garden, PT Faculty Practice
Southwest Baptist University held a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Judy Taylor Physical Therapy Garden and the Warren B. Davis Family Physical Therapy Center Faculty Practice on Oct. 6 at the facility at 2103 S. Springfield Ave., Bolivar.
Southwest Baptist University will host a visiting artist exhibit, featuring award-winning artist Karla Breeding Trammell through Nov. 4 at the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus. In addition to the exhibit, a reception for Trammell will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the gallery.
Tickets are now on sale for the 13th annual "Ye Olde Madrigal Dinners," which will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2 in the McClelland Dining Facility on the Southwest Baptist University Bolivar campus.
Alumni awards presented, Taylor recognized at SBU Honors Chapel
Three Southwest Baptist University alumni were presented special awards in recognition of living lives of service and Dr. C. Pat Taylor was recognized for his 20 years as SBU president at Honors Chapel on Friday, Sept. 30.
