SBU GameCon 2019

Southwest Baptist University's Esports program, Horizons Project (student content creation organization), and Infuse Student Media are partnering together to host the annual SBU gaming event for the third year. Join us for SBU GameCon 2019 for a fun, family-friendly event! Tournaments for high school and college age groups will run throughout the day, as well as presentations and meet-ups with popular gaming industry individuals.

Event Details

  • What: SBU GameCon 2019
  • Who: Youth, SBU students, other college students, and community members
  • When: Saturday, May 4, 2019, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  • WhereTaylor Center, SBU Bolivar campus
  • Cost: General admission is FREE! This includes auditorium access, but does not include tournament eligibility.
    • LAN tournament (Bring Your Own Computer) details:
      • Must be 16 or older as of the event date; tournaments will be separated by 16-17 and 18+
      • All-day reserved LAN seating: $1 advance (must pre-register by May 1), $5 at the door
        • Pre-registration only
        • Personal desk space for gaming setup (restrictions apply)
        • Eligible for tournaments and giveaways
        • Top secret exclusives
      • Open LAN seating: FREE (first-come, first-served)
        • Available on a first-come, first-served basis for open room desk space
        • Eligible for tournaments and giveaways
        • $5 upcharge if reserved seating is available and desired by attendee
      • SBU Student Discount:
        • FREE reserved spot (must pre-register by May 1), or $1 at the door
        • Current SBU ID required
