Cybersecurity Management Major

Earn a unique degree at SBU in cybersecurity management

As demand for cybersecurity has grown faster than the number of trained practitioners, the same can be said for technically trained managers in cybersecurity. SBU's degree in Cybersecurity Management packages conceptual and administrative coursework in cybersecurity with business management coursework.

Graduating with a degree in cybersecurity management will equip you for an entry-level cybersecurity job with preparation to advance into a management position. You will learn about cybersecurity with a focus on management instead of software engineering.

If you are interested in the applied management of principles and practices related to computer security, this unique degree program may be the perfect fit for you!

The cybersecurity management degree is offered through SBU's Robert W. Plaster College of Business.

Faith Integration

SBU's College of Professional Programs and the Robert W. Plaster College of Business have a Psalm 15 initiative, which provides intentional integration of faith and academic discipline. Using Psalm 15 as a basis, the Colleges have identified eight character traits that should be the hallmark of the students and graduates. These character traits are emphasized in coursework and in a special lecture series. The highlighted character traits are: Integrity, Service, Respect, Charity, Faithfulness, Truthfulness, Humility and Perseverance.

You will learn about the Biblical foundations for management and examine management principles illuminated by Biblical truth. You will learn about management examples in t he Bible, study the manner in which Jesus managed, and discover what the Bible has to say about being an ethical manager and an effective leader.
