Jester Learning and Performance Center, named in honor of Bill and Nancy Jester, business leaders from Springfield, Missouri, and major contributors to its construction, was completed in 2001.
The Jester Center houses the Colvin Center for Instructional Technology and Extended Learning, Information and Technology Services, the art department, the Bob R. Derryberry School of Communication Arts, the language and literature department, and the 301-seat Davis-Newport Theater. The east half of the facility houses the Harriet K. Hutchens Library.
