Why did you choose to teach at SBU? “One of the things I love most about teaching at SBU is being able to build relationships with students. I love working with freshmen at this pivotal time in their lives when they are deciding their major and adapting to college life. I get to be a part of that process by encouraging students, empowering them with skills that will help them be successful, and working with them one on one to discover the direction God has for their lives.”
What sets SBU apart from other universities? “SBU is academically rigorous, but we truly care about our students and desire to help them succeed. At SBU we teach from a Christian worldview and integrate our faith with learning.”
What advice do you have for prospective students? “Be ready to be challenged academically, grow spiritually, and make lifelong friends.”
What is your favorite thing to do in Bolivar/Southwest Missouri? “We love the beauty of the Ozarks and like to go camping. Silver Dollar City in Branson is one of our favorite places to go, especially during the fall and at Christmas. We love the lights and the sounds of the seasons.”
