Hello there. My name is Camden, and I am the Resident Director at Woody Gott.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree at SBU in 2010 in Religious Studies and Psychology. However, during my time at SBU, I gained so much more than just an education. College was such a formative time in my life as I began to realize God’s profound glory everywhere I looked. It was also during college that I met my beautiful wife Mallory and began to see God change both of us into new people. Our hearts have been joined together ever since with a passion to see his name become famous in our home and across the globe. After college, we moved to Louisville, KY for me to get my master’s degree at Southern Seminary. I graduated from Southern in May 2013 and look forward to being with college students yet again in the days to come.
To give you a little background on me, I am from the thriving metropolis of Higginsville, MO. I love the Royals, Chiefs, my wife, and Jesus (in reverse order of course). I enjoy playing mostly any sport, especially football and disc golf. Mallory and I both LOVE to play Settlers of Catan (if you’ve never heard of it, we will introduce you). I am slowly developing taste buds for the finer things in life – good food, good books, good music, and good art – though I am horribly untalented at creating any of these myself.
What music is on my iphone? Mumford, Walk the Moon, Sojourn Music, James Vincent McMorrow
Favorite dessert? Gooseberry pie, hands down
Favorite movie? The answer fluctuates depending on the day, but right now I would say There Will Be Blood
Favorite author? The Holy Spirit (his best seller, The Bible, is genius), C.S. Lewis (this is the cliché answer, but there’s a reason everyone loves the man)
Favorite verse? “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” – Rom. 8:1. Believe it folks
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I would love to be a lead pastor at a local church, spreading God’s name to all near and far
That’s me in a nutshell, so come by Woody Gott and let me meet you.
