Current research projects: Denton is continuing research interests begun in his recently published dissertation, Historiography and Hermeneutics in Jesus Studies (T &T Clark, 2004), including theological hermeneutics and theological method.
Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? "It's exciting to join with students in working through some of life's most important questions out of the resources of our Christian heritage."
Educational and professional background: Denton earned a Bachelor of Arts degreee at Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D., at Fuller Theological Seminary. Denton's professional experience includes serving as a staff member in various Louisiana churches.
Faith dedications: Denton is a member of National Heights Baptist Church.
