When I was in high school I would always try to take things apart and make them into something new. When I left for college I enrolled in many of SBUs art classes, which were required for my graphic artist major, and I begun making my own original pieces of artwork. Looking back on all that I have learned in my art classes during my four years at SBU, I realize how much my art skills have improved. I look forward to practicing the skills that I have learned by applying then within my career.

As I grew up I was well aware of the love my family had for music. My mom played the piano and my dad the guitar. Before I left for college I decided I too would like to learn how to play the guitar. I didn’t make much progress until my freshman year of college. I spent a lot of time in my dorm room learning how to play different songs and eventually writing my own music. For the last year I have been leading worship at the church I attend on Wednesday nights and I have written over 50 songs.

I like making people smile. Sometimes I succeed in making someone laugh and making their day. Then other times I simply succeed in making them look at me funny. Either way; for that split second, they stop thinking about that ten-page paper, and the two days they have to do it in.

I'm a big movie buff. I pride myself in owning a broad selection of titles ranging from action, to drama, to comedy, to the occasional romantic comedy. I'm a big Lucas and Spielberg fan, and I hope that one day they decide to make Star Wars 7-10 when they're 95 years old.
