Class of 2008

I’m graduating as a photography major in May 2008.  I like to use photography for ministry, especially for taking pictures on mission trips.  I’ve done a lot of photography for ministries in the church.  I’ve also done photography for the Marketing and Communications Department at SBU, where I was an intern.

I met my husband my first year at SBU.  We dated and got married on August 5, 2006.  I always knew I would meet my husband at school, and I’m glad it was Jeff Reed.  I look forward to spending the rest of my life ministering with him.

I have been on four mission trips since I have started here at SBU.  Each trip was to a different country.  I was able to work with children through vacation Bible school programs and also do some prayer walking.  At the beginning of my sophomore year my parents moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand, as IMB missionaries.  I feel that we (my husband and I) will be on the mission field one day.

I love to cook.  You can ask my husband; he’s gained a lot of weight since we got married.  I guess my passion for cooking has come from my great-grandmother.  It’s a generational thing in my family.  My mom was a caterer as I was growing up and I enjoyed helping her.  I think it would be cool to one day become a caterer just like my mother.

I love to see and experience God’s creation.  I adore spending time outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, and taking pictures outdoors.  My favorite family vacations have been in the great outdoors chasing grizzly bears and moose.  My husband actually proposed to me while we were on a hike, and that made the moment even more special.
