Church-Related Scholarships
As a Christian University, it is our privilege to award scholarships to students entering the ministry. We also partner with churches who want to assist their students in pursing Christian higher education.
With the exception of the Church Matching Scholarship, the deadline to apply for a Church-Related Scholarship is March 1. If you apply to SBU after March 1, your specific scholarship application is due within 30 days.
Please click on the appropriate heading below to download an application for each of the following scholarships.
Church Matching Scholarship: Up to $500 annually in a dollar-for-dollar match with your church’s contribution to your education.
Church-Related Vocation Scholarship: $2,000 per year if you’re majoring in Biblical Studies, Christian Ministries, Religious Studies, Intercultural Studies, Church Music or Church Recreation.
Dependent of Church Minister Scholarship: $1,000 per year to the dependent of a church related vocational professional.
Dependent of Missionary Scholarship: $1,000 if you have a parent or spouse who is currently serving on the mission field for the International Mission Board (IMB), North American Mission Board (NAMB) or another approved missions organization.
