“We have had connections with SBU for over 30 years. And, as in every area of life, we’ve seen the cost of a college education increase dramatically over those years. Even with the increased cost, we feel the best investment of our educational dollars was for our children to attend SBU. The Christian environment and attention to scholarship make SBU a top dollar value for investing in the future of our family. We look forward to our grandchildren one day enrolling at SBU.”

Fill Out Your FAFSA

To receive student financial aid, you need to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every school year.  Funding is dispersed based on your FAFSA submission date; the earlier you get it in, the more you may receive.  SBU’s recommended deadline is March 15.  You can still file the FAFSA after March 15, but you may not receive all the funds for which you might have been eligible.

The best way to complete your FAFSA is on the Web.  FAFSA on the Web allows you to complete and submit your financial aid application electronically.

Where Do You Start? (First Time Applicants)

TIP: A PIN is not required to fill out and submit a FAFSA, but using a PIN is the fastest way to sign your application and the process of obtaining a PIN is easy. Select PIN Information for general information about applying for a PIN.
