Welcome to the Southwest Baptist University web site! I am delighted that you have taken the time to discover what SBU has to offer students. I believe that our University is exceptional and that you will have a wonderful experience on our campus if you choose to attend SBU.
SBU offers excellent academic programs in numerous fields. In addition, our faculty are outstanding in their ability to prepare you for a career after college, and they will not hesitate to give you personal attention. In fact, that kind of personal touch is widespread in the Bolivar community, where local churches welcome and involve SBU students, and local restaurants and businesses recognize our students.
Many excellent spiritual, social and physical enrichment opportunities exist on the SBU campus. We are very excited about the recently completed Meyer Wellness and Sports Center, a 150,000-square foot state-of-the-art wellness center and sports arena.
Since the University was founded in 1878, our mission and core values have not changed. SBU never has wavered on its commitment to Christian values and academic integrity. We always have been Christ-centered and always have provided a caring environment. SBU continues to challenge students to grow intellectually and to become all that God wants them to be.
