Family: My parents live in Pretty Prairie, KS and my younger brother lives in Wichita, KS. My older brother and I both live here in Bolivar.
Why did you choose to work for SBU? I wanted to work for SBU because of the great experience I had while attending college here. SBU provided me with a warm, welcoming, Christ-centered environment that challenged me to continue learning, to seek the Lord, and to develop incredible friendships and cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Favorite thing to do in Bolivar: My favorite thing to do in Bolivar is to walk up to 3 G’s (a custard place) on the square and get frozen custard!
Favorite college memory: A memory that will always stand out in my mind when I look back on my time at SBU is Pie Night 2007!
Hobbies: Drawing, painting, baking, reading, trying to learn to play the guitar.
Tips for success in first year at SBU: Don’t be afraid to try something new! Make an effort to meet people and look for clubs, organizations, or teams to get involved in. And don’t forget that meeting new people includes building relationships with your professors.
Favorite professional sports team: Well, I do not have a favorite professional sports team, but I am a huge Kansas basketball fan!
What SBU means to me: For me, SBU represents a lot of personal growth. While here, I have not only had the chance to expand myself academically and socially, but I have also been give a wonderful opportunity to develop my walk with the Lord. I am continually being reminded of the importance of a personal walk with Him and how essential it is to encourage one another in love and good deeds.
What's on my iPod/music currently listening to: I like listening to a variety of different types of music. Right now though, I am really enjoying listening to Snow Patrol.
Favorite book/book currently reading: I have several favorite books including Pride and Prejudice, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, and Catch-22.
