11/9/09 Update to Information and Precautions for H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu)

Bolivar Campus Update, November 9, 2009

   

Mrs. Nancy Hodges, SBU's Director of Health Services stated, "During the week of November 1 through November 7, 2009 there were only two students (down from nine the previous week) seen with a fever over 100 and exhibiting flu symptoms.”   Most students seen at The Health Center were exhibiting symptoms of a stomach virus, sinusitis, or strep throat.

Bolivar Campus Update November 2, 2009

According to SBU's Director of Health Services, Nancy Hodges, "During the week of October 25-31, 2009 there were nine students seen with fever over 100 and exhibiting flu symptoms.  Only one student tested positive for Influenza A.  Many students were seen with some of the symptoms of flu, but not fever.”  For information regarding flu symptoms, please click on Flu Symptoms and Actions.


SBU Chamber Orchestra to perform concert Nov 3

BOLIVAR, MO – The public is invited to attend a free concert featuring the Southwest Baptist University Chamber Orchestra at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12. The concert will be presented in Meyer Recital Hall in the Geneva Casebolt Music Center on the Bolivar campus. Dr. Brian K. Hopwood, director of instrumental studies and assistant professor of music will conduct.


SBU Chorale to Present Fall Concert

BOLIVAR, MO – The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will present its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Pike Auditorium located in Mabee Chapel on the main campus in Bolivar.  Admission is free and a reception for the audience will be held backstage following the performance.

SBU Theatre Department to perform “The Crucible”
