St. John’s/SBU College of Nursing to hold pinning and commencement ceremony

SPRINGFIELD, MO ─ St. John's College of Nursing of Southwest Baptist University pinning and commencement ceremony will be held Thursday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m., at Second Baptist Church in Springfield. One hundred and five nursing graduates will be pinned and receive diplomas.


BREAKING NEWS: SBU SIFE Going to National Competition

ROGERS, Ark. -- SBU SIFE has been named a 2010 SIFE Regional Champion. This marks the SBU team’s 26th win in 27 years.    The team will compete at the National Exposition in Minneapolis May 11-13. In 2009, SBU SIFE placed in the top 32 teams in the nation.


SBU Spring Chorale Concert Presented on April 19

BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will present its Spring Concert on Monday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.  Admission is free and a reception for the audience will be held backstage following the concert.

SBU to Host Lecture on Evidence of God in Human Physiology

BOLIVAR, Mo. – CORRECTED DATE: The Darrell R. Strait Center for the Integration of Science and Christian Faith at Southwest Baptist University is sponsoring a lecture on Wednesday, April 21, 4:00-5:00 p.m., in Meyer Recital Hall, in the Geneva Casebolt Music Center on the Bolivar main campus. The event is free and open to the public.

SBU to be visited by Equality Ride

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University has been planning and preparing for the Equality Ride visit to the Bolivar campus on Wednesday, April 14, in good faith regarding meaningful, civil, and peaceful discussion. As a Christ-centered campus, it is an expectation that all members of the SBU community and Equality Ride guests speak respectfully and graciously toward one another.
