SBU to Begin Forgiveness Initiative
BOLIVAR, MO – Two Southwest Baptist University faculty are coordinating a study of forgiveness on the University’s Bolivar campus, which includes a Forgiveness Blitz beginning February 22 and running through March 5. The study is led by Dr. Everett L. Worthington Jr. of Virginia Commonwealth University and will be coordinated at SBU by Dr. Shelley Kilpatrick and Dr. Chris Dinwiddie. The study is partially funded by the Fetzer Institute.

BOLIVAR, MO – Dr. Linda Wooderson has recently been appointed as a biographical candidate to represent Bolivar, Missouri, in the 2009/2010 online Cambridge Who’s Who Registry Among Executive and Professional Women. The office of Managing Director appoints individuals based upon a candidate’s current position, and usually with information obtained from researched executive and professional listings.
SBU PT faculty gain Board Certification
BOLIVAR, MO – SBU Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Dr. Amber Fleer, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS, and Instructor of Physical Therapy Kelly Coleman, PT, OCS, ACCE recently were awarded presidential awards during the Board of Trustees luncheon.

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University President C. Pat Taylor announced the hiring of Dr. William Brown as the new Provost in a communication to the University family. Dr. Brown replaces Dr. Gordon Dutile who retired from his position as Provost in December 2008. Dr. Dutile served as Interim Provost until August 31, 2009, and has been named Provost Emeritus. Dr. Brown will begin serving as Provost immediately.
