SBU PBL Enjoys Victories at Nationals

BOLIVAR, MO -- Eleven Southwest Baptist University Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) students competed at the FBLA-PBL 2009 National Leadership Conference (NLC) at Hilton Anaheim, June 20–23, with 1,700 of the nation’s top PBL members, and seven national trophies were brought home.  Following are the SBU results:

SBU Invites Singers to Join Community Choir

 BOLIVAR, MO --The Bolivar Community Choir is looking for singers to join us for the annual Celebration of Freedom event on July 4.  We will be singing some traditional favorites and would like to extend the invitation to all adult and high school singers that would like join us.


SBU COBACS Students Test Among the Best

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University announced the accounting, economics/finance, marketing, management, public relations, international business, and computer information science graduating seniors of the College of Business and Computer Science (COBACS) have ranked in the 95th percentile on their Major Field Assessment Test.

St. John's College of Nursing to hold May 2009 pinning ceremony

SPRINGFIELD, MO - St. John's College of Nursing of Southwest Baptist University Pinning Ceremony will be held Thursday evening, May 21, at 7:00 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield. Ninety-seven graduates will be pinned. 


SBU CIS Students Win Forensic Programming Challenge

BOLIVAR, MO – Two Southwest Baptist University students, Andrew Cook, senior computer information science major, Kansas City, Mo., and Tim Heimsoth, senior computer science/Math major, Cole Camp, Mo., took the crown in the first Forensic Programming Challenge sponsored by the Heart of America Regional Computer Forensics Lab (HARCFL) located in Kansas City, Mo.
